My idea of the month is the World Café

World Café is a workshop format that I tried for the first time last week. People sit at tables like a café. You put a question to the room, and each table discusses it for 20 minutes. Then everyone shuffles around, joins another table, and you put a second question to the room. And so on. You then ‘harvest’ ideas from all the discussions. Ideally, you dress the room to look a bit like a café, as we did with little vases of flowers. The format works brilliantly, both to create a relaxed atmosphere, and to mix people and ideas togeth
