Idea for December 2021: DAO

My idea of the month is DAO

This is a decentralised autonomous organisation - intriguing to anyone like me who’s fascinated by new kinds of organisation (or ‘organising’) and who’s always been a tiny bit of an anarchist. Actually, DAOs aren’t that anarchic: they do have rules, transparent and encoded using blockchain technology. DAOs are potentially a new way for people to come together to invest, or create change, or fundraise. Not to be confused, of course, with dao or tao, ‘the way’ in traditional Chinese spirituality.
