Idea for October 2021: metaverse

My idea of the month is metaverse

I don’t think anyone knows what it is, though Facebook is hiring 10,000 people to work on it. It’s when real reality and digital reality collide, and we navigate life through a headset rather than a phone. It all started with a science fiction novel called Snow Crash, and it’s currently big in gaming, but could become as central to culture as the smartphone is now.
