Idea for December 2023: greenhushing

My idea of the month is greenhushing

One of many things I learned at the 2023 Brandland conference. Greenhushing is when an organisation does sustainable things, but doesn’t talk about them - mainly for fear of being accused of greenwashing. It’s a complex conundrum: you may save yourself from accusations, but you’re also not spreading the word about sustainability (or, a better term I think, regeneration). Maybe 2024 will bring us the answer…
